Overview

Chris represents both lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions.

Chris drafts and negotiates credit agreements, security agreements, pledge agreements, account control agreements, UCC filings, and other documents and agreements needed for the perfection of underlying security interests. He works with borrowers in several industries to finance expansion, acquisitions and growth.

For his lender clients, Chris creates, maintains, and amends revolving and term loan credit facilities, and develops receivables purchases facilities. He regularly advises on commodities financing and lending to companies that buy and sell precious metals, coffee, sugar, and other commodities.

In addition, Chris counsels clients on compliance with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) requirements. And he has significant experience perfecting security interests in foreign jurisdictions. In a recent lender-side representation, Chris was responsible for perfecting security interests in four countries across two continents.

While in law school, Chris was a representative for Cornell Advocates for Human Rights, where he assisted in planning and organizing several events including the publication and launch of a magazine featuring articles on literacy, empowerment, and leadership for young West African women. He is an enthusiastic board game player and designer.
