Overview

Michele handles both corporate matters and bankruptcies with a focus on helping middle-market companies, brands, and portfolio companies in M&A transactions, restructurings and general business matters. She advises on corporate structures, business agreements, vendor and key counter-party contracts, as well as workouts and settlements for financially distressed companies. Her transactional practice includes drafting corporate governance documents, as well as conducting due diligence and drafting the range of agreements involved in closing deals.

Her bankruptcy practice covers restructurings under Chapter 11 and Subchapter V, liquidations under Chapter 7, and litigation of contested matters and adversary proceedings. She also has consumer bankruptcy experience in Chapters 7 and 13.

Prior to joining Zukerman Gore, Michele practiced bankruptcy law and litigated in federal court for a Long Island firm, and served as an in-house attorney at a global private equity company where she assisted with M&A diligence, IP matters, and advising newly acquired portfolio companies on legal, marketing and operational matters. Before starting her practice in New York, she worked as a professional business writer and legal marketer at AmLaw 100 and 200 firms, and she practiced at a boutique litigation firm in Austin, TX.
